Jessa Sky is a proud Métis-Cree singer-songwriter, keynote speaker, and mental health advocate from Treaty 6 Territory. Her music—an emotive blend of soulful pop, R&B, and Indigenous roots—serves as both storytelling and healing, reflecting her journey through resilience, growth, and self-discovery. Since beginning her professional career in 2021, Jessa has earned three #1 singles on the Indigenous Music Countdown and was named CBC’s 2024 Searchlight “Honorary Indigenous Artist” for her hit single Anxiety. Her collaboration with Mattmac, Forever, has surpassed half a million views, solidifying her place among Canada’s most promising Indigenous artists. In 2025, Jessa was one of four artists selected nationwide for the CBC × SOCAN Reverie Indigenous Music Residency in Toronto—an intensive four-week mentorship and studio program at CBC and Massey Hall. Shot in both a studio setting and the streets of downtown Winnipeg, this video captures the essence of Caid’s artistry—his energy, his vision, and his presence that still resonates with so many. From the intimate, moody studio shots to the raw and cinematic visuals of Winnipeg’s cityscape, we aimed to create something that reflects his spirit and dedication to his craft. Caid was not just an artist; he was a storyteller, a creator, and a force that inspired those around him. This project is a tribute to him and his music, and we hope it resonates with you as deeply as it does with us. Rest in power, Caid.
