Funky Town at Diablo Night Club was a high-energy Disco Rave night presented by Bring Your Love Festival — packed with movement, colour, and nonstop momentum from open to close.
From the start, this event was designed to feel big. The goal wasn’t just to document the night, but to capture the atmosphere, the crowd energy, and the visual identity of Funky Town in a way that could live on through short-form video, ads, and future promotion.
Video Coverage Approach
Working closely with the Bring Your Love team, we approached this event with a clear video brief and deliverables in mind, ensuring every shot served a purpose beyond the night itself
The focus was on creating:
Short, high-impact reels optimized for Instagram and TikTok
Social-ready visuals that feel energetic, colourful, and packed
Content that highlights both performers and crowd reactions
Footage Diablo can reuse for ads and promotional material
Rather than relying on static coverage, the camera work emphasized intentional motion — gimbal push-ins, parallax movement, slow-motion accents, and smooth transitions that reflect the rhythm of the night.
Visual Style & Tone
The Funky Town aesthetic leaned heavily into:
Neon lighting, strobes, and reflections
A stylish nightclub look with a mix of cinematic and raw candid moments
Fast-paced, upbeat edits built for 10–15 second clips
A balance of wide environment shots and intimate close-ups
The result is content that feels immersive — placing the viewer directly on the dance floor rather than simply observing from the sidelines.
DJs, Crowd & Energy
The DJ lineup kept the momentum building throughout the night, and capturing that progression was a key part of the visual story. Tight shots of hands on mixers, reactions to drops, and sweeping angles showing the crowd behind the booth helped communicate the scale and intensity of each set.
Equally important were the crowd moments — friends dancing, drinks raised, people laughing, couples moving together, and spontaneous reactions that make nights like this memorable. These moments form the emotional core of the recap and give attendees content they can tag, share, and relive.
Featured DJs & Musical Direction
Funky Town’s soundscape was driven by a carefully curated lineup of DJs who each brought a distinct style while keeping the energy cohesive throughout the night.
Xeon set the tone early, easing the room into Funky Town with groove-forward selections that warmed up the floor and pulled people in from the moment doors opened.
Electric Kitten followed with high-energy disco-infused rhythms, pushing momentum forward and locking the crowd into a steady, dance-heavy flow.
$angmoney brought late-night intensity, delivering punchy transitions and peak-moment drops that elevated the room and kept the dance floor packed.
Home Cookin’ closed out the night with confidence, blending style and control to carry the energy through to the final tracks.
From a video perspective, each set offered unique visual moments — hands on mixers, crowd reactions to drops, lighting changes, and the natural progression of the night.
Capturing these transitions was key to telling the full Funky Town story and showcasing how the artists shaped the energy from start to finish.
Drone Integration & Event Context
Where permitted, drone footage was planned to provide exterior establishing shots and visual context around the venue, adding a cinematic layer to the recap Funky Town - Brief.
Drone shots help:
Set the scene before the viewer enters the venue
Create strong intro or outro moments
Elevate event recaps with scale and perspective
All aerial planning was approached with safety, compliance, and situational awareness in mind, ensuring seamless integration with ground-based footage.

Deliverables & Editing Strategy
Post-production focused on building multiple short-form assets rather than a single long edit, allowing the content to perform across platforms Funky Town - Brief.
Deliverables included:
10–15 second hype reels
Performance-focused clips
Crowd-energy highlights
Social-ready visuals formatted for ads and promotion
Optional aftermovie-style edit for broader storytelling
Each piece was edited to feel fast, intentional, and replay able — designed to communicate what Funky Town feels like in seconds.
Why This Matters for Events
Strong event recap videos do more than document a night — they:
Build anticipation for future events
Strengthen brand identity
Give organizers reusable marketing assets
Help audiences feel connected, even after the music stops
For Bring Your Love Festival, Funky Town at Diablo wasn’t just a party — it was a visual statement, and capturing it with intention ensures that energy continues to live online.
