Capturing Emotion: Jessa Sky's

We had the privilege of working with the incomparable Jessa Sky over two packed and inspiring days. Our goal was to capture a full suite of visuals to support her upcoming Grievin EP release.

From an intimate Unreel Sessions live performance to vibrant social media content, lyric visuals, and cinematic moments around Winnipeg, this project brought together music, emotion, and artistry — all framed through our lens.

🎤 Day One: Unreel Sessions

Our shoot began with a full Unreel Sessions Package, filmed and recorded alongside the talented Eric Peters and Matthew Merkel.

Jessa delivered a raw and emotional live performance of Grievin, recorded live-on-the-floor with beautiful, stripped-back energy. We complemented this with a branded photoshoot, BTS moments, and three vertical reels crafted specifically for social platforms. This gave her fans a front-row seat to her artistry.

🎬 Beyond the Session: Expanding the Vision

We didn’t stop there. Over the course of these two days, we created a range of additional content:

• A solo music video for “Grievin”, capturing the vulnerability and emotion of the track in a cinematic, intimate setting.

• A lyric video with a dreamy, pastel-toned concept inspired by themes of healing and memory.

• 12 custom-shot social media reels, styled uniquely to reflect the mood of each song from the EP. These reels blend bold colors, movement, and candid energy.

• A series of Spotify Canvas clips, offering seamless, looping visuals designed for streaming platforms.

• Location-based promo shots and creative content filmed around Winnipeg, leaning into vibrant pastel tones and striking contrasts.

  
  

The collaboration with Matthew Merkel throughout this project brought even more creative energy to the visuals. This partnership helped us craft a diverse range of content that’s true to Jessa’s vision.

In just two days, we delivered a complete visual strategy for Jessa’s Grievin EP. This included everything from live performances to branded content, ready for social media, Spotify, and YouTube.
