Music, movement, and momentum at Assiniboia Downs
Together Again Fest December 27, 2025 returned bigger, louder, and more connected than ever, transforming Assiniboia Downs into a full-scale celebration of electronic music, culture, and community.
With thousands of fans filling the grounds, world-class production, and a stacked lineup led by Meduza, CID, and a deep roster of supporting artists, the energy across the weekend never slowed. Every set built on the last, creating moments that felt massive, shared, and unforgettable.
Capturing the feeling, not just the footage
Festival aftermovies aren’t just about showing who played — they’re about capturing how it felt to be there.
From hands in the air during peak drops to the quieter moments between sets, this aftermovie was designed to reflect the full experience of Together Again Fest. The movement of the crowd, the scale of the production, and the connection between artist and audience all shaped the final edit.

The goal was simple; make viewers feel like they were standing in the middle of it all.
Three stages, multiple floors, one cohesive story
Together Again Fest 2026 featured three separate stages spread across multiple floors, each with its own atmosphere, lighting design, and energy. Capturing all three simultaneously was critical to telling the full story of the festival — and required a scaled production approach to match the size of the event.
Having an additional camera operator and multiple pilots allowed coverage to happen in parallel, ensuring no stage was overlooked while artists were performing at the same time on different levels. This approach gave the edit flexibility to cut between stages seamlessly and reflect the diversity of the experience happening across the venue.

Overcoming scale and environmental challenges
From a production standpoint, the venue presented unique challenges both in size and conditions. The large surface area of the event space required careful planning to manage travel time between stages, maintain consistent coverage, and stay aligned with performance schedules across all floors.
Inside the stages, pilots navigated dense fog, rapidly changing lighting conditions, and low ceilings, all while flying in close proximity to stage elements, production gear, and moving performers. These conditions demanded precise control, constant communication, and disciplined flight execution.
Every flight was carefully coordinated to maintain visual line of sight, manage spatial awareness, and adapt to visibility limitations caused by fog and lighting effects — ensuring both safety and smooth capture in a highly dynamic environment.
Aerial and FPV production done right
This project was produced in partnership with FPV Manitoba, delivering dynamic aerial and FPV perspectives while maintaining safe, coordinated, and professional flight operations throughout the festival.
Multiple pilots and visual observers allowed coverage across stages without compromising safety or quality, ensuring that each space received dedicated attention while maintaining clear communication with event production.

Gear used on this production
To balance cinematic quality with fast-paced movement and tight environments, the following gear was used throughout the shoot:
• Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K for ground coverage
• Spydr FPV drone equipped with DJI O4 Air
• Meteor 75 Pro FPV drone equipped with DJI O4 Air
This setup allowed seamless transitions between stabilized ground shots and immersive FPV motion while maintaining consistency across lighting-heavy, fog-filled environments.

From the crowd to the screen
Together Again Fest continues to be a cornerstone event for Winnipeg’s electronic music scene, and 2026 marked another major step forward. From the artists and organizers to the crew behind the scenes and every person who showed up ready to move, the weekend was a reminder of why live music matters.
If you were there, you already know. If you weren’t, this is what you missed.
