DIRXECP team had the incredible opportunity to travel to Montreal to film video content for Timbermart Canada. As one of the country's leading hardware and building materials suppliers, Timbermart continues to expand its reach, and we were thrilled to play a role in promoting their newest distribution centres. This project took us to Lévis, QC, and Mount Forest, ON, as part of an exciting online campaign highlighting their cutting-edge facilities and commitment to service excellence.

Planning the Perfect Shot
Every great production begins with thorough planning and preparation, and this project was no exception. Our team worked closely with Timbermart’s marketing team to develop a comprehensive shotlist that captured the essence of their new distribution centres.
This included identifying key visuals to showcase the scale, efficiency, and technology behind these facilities, as well as highlighting Timbermart's dedication to supporting their network of independent dealers.

Prepping for this shoot required attention to every detail, from scouting the distribution centres to understanding their operations.
On the Road: Lévis, QC, and Mount Forest, ON
Our journey started in Lévis, QC, where Timbermart’s new distribution centre stands as a testament to innovation and efficiency. The facility’s impressive layout provided us with endless opportunities to capture dynamic footage. With drones in the air and cameras on the ground, we focused on showcasing the centre’s scale and the team’s seamless coordination.
From Lévis, we headed to Mount Forest, ON, where Timbermart has opened another state-of-the-art distribution hub. This facility, nestled in the heart of Ontario, reflects Timbermart’s strategic expansion and dedication to providing top-tier service to their dealers across the province. The energy of the staff and the facility’s impressive capabilities made filming here an absolute pleasure.

Lights, Camera, Action
For this project, we utilized a mix of our most trusted gear to ensure the best results. The core equipment lineup included the BMPCC6K paired with a Sigma 24-70mm lens for versatile close-ups and a 14mm lens for wide-angle shots. The DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro drone captured breathtaking aerial footage, perfectly showcasing the scale and strategic locations of the distribution centres. Additionally, we brought along our custom-built Mopax FPV drone to create dynamic, immersive visuals that added a modern edge to the final product.
This combination of equipment allowed us to deliver a diverse range of shots that truly captured the essence of Timbermart's operations.
In addition to the visuals, we made sure to capture interviews and candid moments with Timbermart’s team members. Their passion for what they do was evident in every word, and incorporating their voices into the final campaign added an authentic and personal touch.
Wrapping It Up
As we returned from this trip, we couldn’t help but feel proud of what we had accomplished. Working with Timbermart Canada to bring their vision to life was a rewarding experience, and we’re excited to see how these videos will resonate with their audience.
Stay tuned for the final campaign release—we’ll be sharing highlights soon! In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you: What do you think makes a great promotional video?
